AssuredSAN® 4000 SAN hybrid storage arrays offer up to 6400 MB/s sequential reads, and 5300 MB/s sequential writes. Designed with a powerful processor, these SAN storage systems are tuned for sequential workloads, making them ideal data storage Assured SAN 4000 seriessolutions for high performance computing, oil and gas siesmic data analysis, telecommunications data capture, media streaming, video post-production editing and broadcasting. These hybrid storage arrays are enabled with RealStor, Dot Hill's autonomic real-time storage operating system.


Storage for Performance and Reliability

The AssuredSAN® 4000 Series SAN storage arrays includes dual controllers, fans, power, and hot swappable drives as standard. Patented EcoStor™ batteryless cache backup eliminates the need for battery maintenance, boosting availability.

These SAN storage systems are engineered to be able to demonstrate 99.999% availability and are compliant with NEBS Level 3 and MIL STD 810G requirements.

RealStor™ Software with Performance-enhancing SSD Configurations

RealStor 2.0 software allows customers to create the next generation hybrid storage solutions that leverage the power of SSDs to increase storage performance.

RealStor 2.0 offers a range of options to boost performance no matter what your workload requirements. With RealStor 2.0 you can choose flash read-cache, RealTier for Flash – storage tiering with SSDs, or RealTier for Capaciy – storage tiering between different speed HDDs to boost IO performance. In addition, RealStor 2.0 includes the rapid RAID rebuild feature and Thin Provisioning, along with virtual snapshots to enhance DR plans.

Software Tuned for Performance

Dot Hill’s firmware is optimized for the randomized sequential I/O performance required in many demanding applications. Streaming high density and 4K video production is just one example where predictable high performance is required to deliver projects on time. Oil and Gas, and HPC applications also require storage that can sustain multiple streams of high-density data. Dot Hill’s firmware is tuned to reliably deliver multiple streams through its Adaptive Read-ahead Algorithm.

Data Protection Software

Optional data protection software is available on the 4000 Series to fully protect your environment. Dot Hill offers optional AssuredCopy™, AssuredSnap™, and AssuredRemote™ DMS software to allow you to create point-in-time snapshots, volume copies and replicate to a remote or backup site.

The 4000 SAN storage arrays are powerful RAID data storage solutions which can scale to hundreds of terabytes of storage with additional expansion arrays. Our dual redundant design eliminates ‘single points of failure’ which can disrupt business operations. AssuredSAN arrays have dual active-active controllers for higher performance and failover, ‘hot swappable’ drives, dual power supplies and fans, all of which contribute to proven 99.999% uptime.

User Interface

4004 models of data storage solutions can be managed either using the Storage Management Console for all features including the new RealStor functionality. The RAIDar 2.0 web management interface with built-in Wizards is also available. This web interface supports Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese.
